After mom got over her initial sadness about Helton, she decided to look closer at the test results, and research FIP. She realized things weren't really adding up and made an appointment at Alameda East for a second opinion. Dr Santen was really nice to Helton and mom, and after many tests (and a lot of money) they came to the conclusion that he is NOT dying of FIP! He has a kidney stone. Big difference, huh? But he still has to have some more tests to figure out why he has such high calcium levels in his blood, and probably has to have surgery to remove the stone.
But, all in all, he is back to his old ways. He is back to bugging mom for milk, curling up in her arm pit to sleep at night, drinking out of the sink, jumping on the counters and all that stuff that he does so annoyingly. But, I don't think mom and dad care. I think they are just happy to have their Fluff back.
