My mom ROCKS!

Yay mom! She got a new job! She is now an assistant account manager for the largest grossing account at her company. She's really excited about it, but we hear it means she will be working pretty hard and some long hours some days. That means less time for her to dote on me. I fear that it will also mean that Helton will continue to act out, and dad will continue to whine to mom about it instead of doing something about it. As long as Vinny gets fed, he doesn't care where the parentals are.

To celebrate her first day of training, at 4:52am I jumped up on her chest and announced my presence by tapping her on the nose and cheek. Her alarm would go off in 8 minutes, so we needed adequate snuggle time. I purred as loud as I could to let her know how much I love her and how proud I am of her.

Last night was fun. I decided to "act out", as they refer to it when talking about Helton. I ran all over the place, picked fights with my brothers, and pretended to chase things that aren't there. Now and then I must act like a cat so they don't suspect that I am as intelligent as I really am.

I was right

We were abandoned kitties again this weekend. Three long days with no mom and dad. Grandma Helen came over, but we are not superior beings in her eyes. We are just something to feed and water (and might I add, she neglected the water bowl in the bedroom). We were all quite sad. But, they returned last night after what mom calls "a wonderfully refreshing and much needed 3 day weekend to the San Francisco Bay Area". Well. Isn't she just an infomercial. I'm sure they ate at In N Out and Jack in the Box, probably Pyramid and maybe even some Dim Sum or Italian over in the City. I bet they hung out with Allison (I like her, she let me sit on her lap) and Kristie and probably went to a wedding, too. I bet the weather was perfect as well. You know, just because we are four legged creature with an unusual amount of body hair, it doesn't mean we don't enjoy these sorts of activities.

Aside from the little matter of getting from point A to point B. We don't travel well.

It was a bad football weekend for all the cats in the Sanchez house. We won't talk about it further. Mom was happy that the Vikings won. Dad's still mad he dropped Adrian Peterson. I'm not sure why he didn't consult with one of us first. We are all rather sports savvy.

Well, the good news is that mom says that they won't leave us again for a long, long time. Regardless, we still enjoyed snuggling with her last night. As independent as you might think we are, we still love our mom and dad. Lots.
